As a comprehensive mobile encryption solution, PGP Mobile provides three ways to secure data:

• Automatic encryption of data: PGP® Virtual Disk–PGP Virtual Disk automatically encrypts the entire contents of storage volumes automatically. PGP Virtual Disk volumes are compatible with PGP® Desktop clients.
• User selects data to be encrypted, easily shared: PGP® Zip–With PGP Zip, PGP Mobile users quickly select data to be stored and encrypted in a single archive. Data can be encrypted to one or more authorized users. PGP Zip files are fully compatible with PGP Desktop clients for Windows and Mac OS X.
• User selects data to be encrypted for Windows, no software required to decrypt: When PGP Mobile users need to share data securely with Windows users that do not have PGP Desktop software, users can quickly create Self-Decrypting Archives that store encrypted files in a single archive and that decrypt on Windows desktops without the need for additional software.

As a PGP Encryption Platform-enabled application, PGP Mobile leverages key management, user management, policy, and provisioning that is automated across multiple, integrated encryption applications. This enables administrators to quickly deploy and manage PGP Mobile, reducing operation operational costs and freeing IT resources. PGP Mobile encrypted data is also compatible with PGP Desktop software for Windows and Mac OS X, allowing quick and easy sharing of data between mobile and desktop users.

For PGP Mobile, the PGP Encryption Platform reduces the time to deploy and manage encryption using the following services provided by the PGP Universal Server:

• Secure provisioning–PGP Universal Server authenticates users based on administrator-defined policy.
• Key management–PGP Universal Server automatically delivers encryption keys during provisioning.
