Press Release: PGP Japan K.K. Joins NSD Co. Led Secure Email Project
PGP Universal Gateway Email provides secure email communication
Tokyo and Menlo Park, CA/10 July, 2008 - PGP Japan K.K., a global leader in enterprise data protection (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Managing Director: Masayuki Kitahara; hereafter referred to as PGP Japan), today announced that it has joined the email security alliance project, 'Total Mail Risk Management & Solution' led by NSD Co., Ltd. (HQ: Tokyo; President: Ichiro Okinaka; hereafter referred to as NSD) along with 13 other companies . This project commenced 15 July, 2008.
The purpose of Total Mail Risk Management & Solution is to raise awareness of email security and to expand sales of email security solutions. Participating companies include 7 leading email solutions providers and 6 system integrators in mail security. The project has selected PGP Universal™ Gateway Email as the email encryption product to be showcased to enterprise customers.
Total Mail Risk Management & Solution provides the following email security solution:
- Email server / archiving
- Anti virus / spam
- Email filtering
- Email Encryption
- Email mass distribution
- Large file sending
- Information leak assurance
As the volume of emails used in enterprises increases at an explosive pace, the opportunity for information leakage problems becomes more prevalent. Enterprises are not only required to proactively establish policies around email archiving, filtering, and spamming, as well as provide email delivery services that conform to various regulations such as J-SOX, Personal Information Protection Law, Civil Procedure Code, Specified Email Act, Information Security Management Policy. The Total Mail Risk Management & Solution project carefully reviews which vendors are available today to address these policies and help companies implement enterprise data protection best practices. Based on the current products available, the project has published a solution proposal, "Total Mail Management & Solution", at the dedicated Web site http://mailsecurity.jp to provide a one-stop solution to address various emailing issues that enterprises face.
