Palo Alto, CA/10 February, 2005 – PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise encryption solutions, today announced it has been selected as a finalist in SIIA's 2005 Codie Awards. The Codie Awards, presented by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), celebrate achievement and vision in software, education technology, and digital content.
For 20 years, the Codie Awards have remained the leading honor for the software and information industry's finest products and services. Each year, Codie Awards judges identify the best-of-the-best from hundreds of nominees. PGP Corporation's PGP Universal has been selected by the judges as a finalist in the Best Open Source Product or Service category.
Winners will be determined from a combination of judges" rankings and SIIA member votes. The judges" rankings will be weighted at 30% and SIIA member votes will be weighted at 70%. Winners of the 2005 Codie Awards will be announced at a gala on May 25, 2005, at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, California.
"The 20th annual Codie Awards continue the tradition of honoring the best of the software, content, and education technology industries," said Ken Wasch, SIIA president. "When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a Codie Awards finalist is a significant achievement."
"We are honored to be among the finalists for this year's SIIA Codie Awards," said Phillip Dunkelberger, president & CEO of PGP Corporation. "Recognition from the SIIA represents acknowledgment by industry experts that PGP Universal is one of the best products in its category. Of course, the ultimate award is the trust of our customers, who continue to buy and deploy our enterprise security products throughout their global organizations."

secure messaging. By moving email encryption responsibility away
from users to the network, encryption, decryption, and digital

have no keys. PGP Universal can quickly and cost-effectively secure
some, most or all enterprise users-both inside and outside the
organization. PGP Universal supports both OpenPGP and X.509 +
S/MIME standards and delivers low-cost deployment through its
self-deploying, proxy-based architecture. PGP Universal can be
integrated with an MTA server to provide a complete enterprise
email security solution that includes encryption, digital
signatures, anti-virus, anti-spam, content filtering, and unified
